Description The redesign of this pocket of urban
space left by the demolition of two terraced houses was a partnership with
Newcastle City's landscape designers and architect Nigel Jenkins. The work
includes a low fence, planters and sculptural post tops. The main feature
is a wall relief with stainless steel tree forms and a forged raven keeping
a watchful eye on the city in the form of the birds egg.

Description The four spires are surrounded by
swirling forms that reflect the patterns of the water beneath the bridge.
On the surface, like bubbles, are steel globes with forged details that reflect
some aspects of the river, its return from a polluted past, the wildlife and
the use of the surrounding park. The work marks the National Cycle Route at
its crossing of the River Darwen by framing the entrances to the bridge.

Description The sculpture conceals a model canal
boat at the centre of these bulrushes. The ovoid form recalls an upturned
weaving shuttle (product of the old mill) and was inspired by the clumps of
rushes growing in the nearby canal. The sculpture lights up to offer a nighttime
welcome to residents of the new housing.

Description The work consists of a sculptural
tower in the form of a hollow tree or chimney with a 3 metre swarm of forged
steel bees hanging within. The sculpture was the outcome of a year's residency
with South Tyneside College managed by Helix Arts, with parts of the work
manufactured by welding trainees. The scheme also includes a walk through
hive and 150 metres of railings. The bees reflect a divided view of this site,
a reclaimed cokeworks complex with a history of pollution.

Description Williams first significant
public art commission was manufactured by an AMARC training team. Inspired
by the delicate form of an Aurum Lily it represents the flowering of young
people's talents, ambitions and desires in this school.
